Hey there, Tristan.
I am heading up to New York this week.
On the Amtrak train.
The good old Amtrak indeed.
Well,
I'm heading up to New York
because a bunch of world leaders are gathering there for the annual United Nations meetings.
And the United Nations as a whole, in theory, just to explain to folks,
is a place where world leaders come together to ostensibly solve really complex international problems.
And at the General Assembly meetings that take place every September here in New York,
lots of presidents and prime ministers get together.
There will be lots of speeches, banquets, meetings.
But at the same time, a lot of it has felt over the years like just political theater.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, you know, I don't think people always realize what the UNGA is actually supposed to be for.
