Hey there, this is Myra and I've got something to tell you.
People fixing the world is on a mission to get more people around the world to hear about solution stories.
And guess what?
You can help.
All you need to do is subscribe and share the podcast with at least one more person and in that way you'll be part of our mission.
Now let's get into this week's solutions.
Like a hot cup of tea on a cold winter day,
this is People Fixing the World from the BBC World Service,
a show that's filled with positive stories about new ideas that are making our world a better place.
I'm Mayra Anubi and today you and I will be tapping into our inner child
as we find out about the power of play.
Now,
I'm one of those moms who's constantly trying to get my kids to play outside or do something fun or creative.
It's my attempt to try and stop them from being glued to a screen all day.
But playing has a lot more benefits for the physical and mental well-being of kids.
It's how children make sense of the world,
how they learn basic skills, and also how they process emotions.
Now,
there are lots of studies that show across the developed world that anxiety rates in children and teenagers are on the rise.
