Economists say they expect the Federal Reserve to announce a quarter point cut in interest rates this week.
It would be the Fed's first rate reduction in nine months.
Despite ongoing concerns about elevated inflation,
the central bank is expected to lower rates over concerns about the slowing job market.
The Labor Department says employers in the U.S. added 22,000 jobs in August.
President Trump is among those planning to attend a large-scale memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk Sunday in Arizona.
NPR's Joe Hernandez reports.
The political organization Kirk founded Turning Point USA said the memorial service would be held in Glendale,
Arizona.
The event is set to take place at State Farm Stadium,
which has the capacity to hold over 60,000 people.
Kirk was shot and killed Wednesday during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University in Orem.
