Poland has invoked Article 4 of the NATO Treaty, calling for urgent talks with allies,
after at least 19 Russian drones flew into Polish airspace overnight.
At least three were shot down by Polish, Dutch and Italian fighter jets.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rooter described the violation of Polish airspace as absolutely reckless.
European leaders have also condemned the move.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said it showed a blatant disregard for peace,
and Emmanuel Macron of France said it was simply unacceptable.
Well, the Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, is furious.
He addressed parliament today,
saying that large-scale military conflict was closer now than at any other time since World War II.
He told parliament that he and the president, who's from a different political party,
are working together in the interests of the country and that we can hear from him through a translator.
Poland and its NATO allies are working together that for the first time in history,
Russian drones have been shot down over Polish territory,
adds to the determination and the elasticity of the leaders.
So the shooting down of these drones is a success of the Polish armies,
but it doesn't change the political situation.
