you Hello and welcome to News Hour from the BBC World Service.
We're coming to you live from London.
I'm Paul Henley, and we start with a story developing.
Currently, Israel has carried out a strike on the Qatari capital Doha,
targeting the senior leadership of Hamas.
They're reported to have been holding a meeting to discuss the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal.
News Hour has been talking to a witness to these attacks.
Shami is a local Filipina resident who heard the explosions.
Of course, I was in my room and then I heard a loud bang like three times before I go outside.
And then when I go outside, so a lot of birds on the sky coming from the other side.
I don't know, at first I don't know which site it is from,
but I said I'm missing it from around West Bay, Alcatara.
I was really nervous that I locked the door because I'm alone.
We all left the house, so I locked everything as I was scared.
I don't know what happened and I don't know where the loud bombs came from.
We are living in the perl, so it's like it's a barrier near where it happened.
That's why we can clearly hear the loud bomb of the bombs.
The words there are of Shami, a Filipina resident of Doha,
who lives not far from where these Israeli strikes happened.
Let's talk live to our correspondent Paul Adams.
