The Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping has drawn strong endorsement from world leaders.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said the initiative is anchored in multilateralism and underscores the importance of safeguarding the international system with the UN at its core and the international order underpinned by international law.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia supported the initiative and is eager to engage in a substantive discussion of the proposals presented by its Chinese friends.
Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim wrote in a social media post that Malaysia fully supported the initiative,
which he said is based on justice, compassion,
humanity and cooperation with multilateralism at its core.
Other world leaders have also voiced their support,
describing the initiative as both timely and essential for building a more just and equitable international order.
The initiative, put forward by President Xi Jinping at the SCO-plus meeting,
highlights five principles, adhering to sovereign equality,
abiding by international rule of law, practicing multilateralism,
