Just two weeks ago, New Yorkers voted en masse for a self-proclaimed socialist.
Do you think that billionaires have a right to exist?
I don't think that we should have billionaires because, frankly,
it is so much money in a moment of such inequality.
Someone who once called for literally seizing the means of production.
We have to continue to elect more socialists,
and we have to ensure... that we are unapologetic about our socialism.
There are also other issues that we firmly believe in, whether it's BDS,
right, or whether it's the end goal of seizing the means of production.
I'm talking, of course, about Zoran Mandani,
who dominated in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor with a definitive victory over former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
More than 545,000 New Yorkers gave us a mandate to make this city affordable.
And I say the word mandate
because this was the most votes any movement has received in 36 years in mayoral elections.
He has called for rent freezes.
I have said I'm going to freeze the rent for more than 2 million rent-stabilized tenants
because that's the mayor's power.
Free buses.
So the ultimate vision is to make all buses free
