26 分钟Hello and welcome to World Business Report from the BBC World Service.
I'm Roger Hearing and on this edition a bumpy prelude to talks between Donald Trump and the South Korean president,
but the US president now says we have a deal done.
So what are the trade implications?
Also today, the tariff problems for the postal systems dealing with the US,
the perils for young South Africans being recruited on social media for jobs in Russian drone factories,
and those dealing with the harm caused by fast fashion in Africa.
But first,
it wasn't the most auspicious start to the visit of the South Korean president to Washington.
Donald Trump posted on social media,
what's going on in South Korea seems like a purge or revolution.
We can't have that and do business there.
When the South Korean president Lee Jae-myung arrived at the White House a few hours later,
it was all warm words.
And there's a lot of hanging on these talks.
There's already a tariff steal, but Seoul would like to improve it.
And everything from microprocessors to shipbuilding is up for discussion with Washington's sixth largest trading partner.
Well, Donald Trump certainly sounded positive.
It's an honor to be with President Lee of South Korea.
We've known each other and gotten along very well.
