That's part of a pre-prepared statement made by Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al Sharif,
who was targeted and killed by Israeli forces last night in Gaza,
along with four of his colleagues who were also killed.
Another three were injured.
He had been warned by the committee to protect journalists that he could be a target.
In the statement, he also said, quote, I never once hesitated to...
The coverage is ongoing on Al Jazeera, even if I'm assassinated, along with all my colleagues.
We must convey this reality to the whole world to see what we live through.
how our people live.
Therefore, the coverage will continue with or without me.
This is the truth, and it will remain so until the last breath and the last moment.
International media is banned from entering Gaza by Israel.
This Al Jazeera team was already there when the conflict broke out and it was one of the only complete news crews still operating there.
It seems the journalists had just gathered together in a tent close to the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City when they came under attack.
The Israeli authorities say Anas al-Sharif was targeted
because they say they have evidence that he was the head of a Hamas terror cell.
Al Jazeera disputes that and is calling the killing a targeted assassination.
