Hello.
Now, as I've sort of trailed multiple times over the last few days and hinted at not so subtly,
I've been interviewing Nicola Sturgeon here in the Newscast studio.
We did the interview the week before last,
and the reason she was here was to promote her new autobiography, which is called Frankly.
And when you listen to the interview... you'll understand why she's called her book that,
because she's very candid about her life at various stages,
whether it's before she got into politics, whether she was rising and climbing the greasy pole,
or whether it was her eight years as First Minister of Scotland,
where she dealt with things like Brexit,
COVID,
and a whole host of political controversies in Scotland and across the whole of the UK as well.
But also it's about her relationships, particularly...
the breakdown of her relationship with her former mentor,
another former First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond.
Now, on the surface,
that broke down over how the Scottish government handled claims of sexual harassment that were made against Alex Salmond.
But it turns out that that relationship broke down for a whole host of other reasons as well.
