For more information visit Hello, welcome back to Luke's English Podcast,
a podcast for learners of English all around the world.
The episode today is called Workplace Scenarios, Role Plays for Practical English.
And as the title suggests...
I'll be doing some role plays in order to demonstrate various bits of practical English that you can use in various workplace scenarios.
Hopefully this will be useful,
instructive and amusing as well as we inject a bit of humour into things along the way.
So I was inspired to do this episode by a comment from a listener that I got recently.
I actually can't remember which platform this comment arrived on or indeed who the commenter was.
But anyway, here's the comment.
that i got it went like this it would be great to hear some episodes that include dialogues or vocabulary related to everyday workplace scenarios such as conversations in a factory setting interactions in a store or supermarket or business presentations within a company as a learner aiming to improve my comprehension in real life professional environments i believe these themes could be both practical and engaging for many listeners now I thought this would be great and that in doing this,
I could use chat GPT to help me do some role plays.
That's in voice mode.
where you actually speak to it and it speaks back to you i could use chat gpt to do some role plays of general workplace scenarios in a factory in a store or supermarket in an office in a business meeting for presentations and negotiations and we can see what kind of language comes up
because yes in voice mode you can chat with chat gpt it'll chat back to you and then when you've finished It actually gives you a full transcription of everything that you've both said,
which I could then obviously present to you on the episode PDF and you could use it to notice language and study and so on.
So here's the prompts that I could ask ChatGPT.
So here's what I can put into ChatGPT.
Can you help me with this?
