Israel faces growing international isolation over the shocking images of starvation in Gaza.
UN-backed global food security experts have warned that the worst-case scenario of famine is currently playing out.
It is, said the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,
a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.
Israel imposed a total blockade on aid deliveries to Gaza at the beginning of March,
shortly before it resumed its military offensive against Hamas.
The country said it wanted to put pressure on the armed group to release the remaining Israeli hostages.
After lifting the blockade, Israel has said there are no restrictions on aid deliveries,
which it coordinates, or any starvation.
