China and the European Union have pledged to promote cooperation on trade and investment at the 25th China-EU Summit.
The two sides have also issued a joint declaration reaffirming policy continuity and stability to step up efforts in tackling climate change.
Meeting European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Beijing,
President Xi Jinping called
for providing more certainty for the world through steady and sound China-EU ties.
The EU leaders said the bloc is committed to advancing cooperation with China based on balance,
reciprocity, and mutual benefit.
