Hello,
our latest newscast gimmick is going great guns with lots of people sending in things they've misheard from the news.
For example, Corinna.
Right newscast team, here is one for your current affairs at Mala Proposams.
During the 2019 election campaign, I listened to the Today programme.
Dipping in and out of sleep, I heard Nick Robinson say,
Labour has announced they're offering free unicorns.
This is going too far, I thought,
and fell back asleep, probably dreaming of John McDonnell riding a unicorn.
Of course, in reality, it was a policy about school uniforms.
Love the podcast.
Bye.
Don't worry, Corinna, we've all been there while listening to the Today programme.
The best thing is, though,
that this newscast gimmick has started eating itself
because several people messaged in about a mishearing or maybe it was just a hearing.
on Monday's episode of Newscast when Simon Jack and I were talking about the review of the water industry.
Colin Savage emailed saying with much love isn't it an admirable rather than an admiral summary or did I miss here?
Then a friend of mine whose nickname is Admiral messaged me this morning on Wednesday to say great Admiral reference on Monday so I thought what's everyone talking about?
So I went back to the episode of Newscast from that day and listened very carefully.
