A 29-year-old suspect is in custody in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon,
that weapon being his car.
Authorities say he used it to plow into a crowd in East Hollywood early Saturday.
There were no fatalities, but at least 30 people were injured seven critically,
as NPR's Amy Held reports.
