China has rejected NATO Secretary-General Mark Rudy's warning on US sanctions over the war in Ukraine.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out of the Ukraine crisis,
adding that coercion and pressure will lead to nowhere.
The spokesperson also called
for helping create the atmosphere and conditions for the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.
During a visit to the U.S. capital Washington, D.C., NATO chief Mark Rudy said Brazil,
China, and India could be hit by secondary U.S. sanctions if they maintain trade with Russia.
US President Donald Trump on Monday threatened to impose 100% secondary tariffs on Russia
if a deal on ending the war in Ukraine is not reached within 50 days.
