  • The Hong Kong Palace Museum has signed a cooperation agreement with the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt,

  • under which the two parties will co-host an exhibition entitled, Ancient Egypt Unveiled,

  • Treasures from Egyptian Museums at the Hong Kong Palace Museum in November.

  • The exhibition will be held from November 20, 2025 to August 31,

  • 2026, showcasing 250 artefacts from seven major Egyptian museums.

  • The collection will include statues of pharaohs, and deities, reliefs,

  • gold ornaments, large sets of mummy coffins and animal mummies.

  • The exhibition spans a timeline of approximately 7,300 to 2,000 years ago.

  • All of the artefacts will be displayed in Hong Kong for the first time,

  • with many making their debut appearance outside Egypt.

  • In addition,

  • the Hong Kong Palace Museum will curate a selection of ancient Chinese artefacts to engage in dialogue and exchange with the Egyptian exhibits,

  • highlighting the development and distinctive features of two of the world's greatest ancient civilisations.

  • around 5.6 million US dollars, in subsidies to stimulate seasonal tourism spending.
