单集简介 ...

On Friday, Ukraine’s air force said Russia had launched a record 539 drones and 11 missiles in overnight airstrikes. Kyiv was at the epicentre of the attack, with every district in the capital targeted. We’ve been speaking with two residents of the city, about their experiences - Dasha, who spent the night sheltering at a local metro station, and Oleksiy, who watched his business go up in flames on CCTV. Also, on Monday Russia's Investigative Committee said that Vladimir Putin’s former transport minister Roman Starovoit had been found dead, apparently with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Victoria and Vitaly explain why the ex-Kursk governor’s death is driving intense speculation online. Today’s episode is presented by Victoria Derbyshire and Vitaly Shevchenko. The producers were Laurie Kalus and Polly Hope. The technical producer was Mike Regaard. The series producer is Tim Walklate. The assistant editor is Bridget Harney. 单集文稿 ...

  • Hello, it's 1,231 days since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

  • And Vitaly, just after you and I finished recording last Tuesday's episode,

  • the Trump administration announced that pause in the delivery of some US weapons to Ukraine.

  • And then yesterday, President Trump flipped the script again.

  • Are you planning to send more weapons to Ukraine?

  • We're going to send some more weapons.

  • They have to be able to defend themselves.

  • They're getting hit very hard now.

  • They're getting hit very hard.

  • We're going to have to send more weapons.

  • You have defensive weapons, primarily, but they're getting hit very, very hard.

  • So many people are dying in that mess.

  • These latest comments from Donald Trump come after his phone calls first with Vladimir Putin last Thursday,

  • a conversation with which Donald Trump wasn't happy at all.

  • He said he was disappointed with Vladimir Putin.

  • And then he spoke to Vladimir Zelensky on Friday.

  • And Vladimir Zelensky said that was the best conversation with Donald Trump that he's had so far.

  • So it's possible that things are moving towards Ukraine getting more air defence systems,

  • but I believe it when I see it.

  • Right.
