  • It sounds like it's some strange Swiss spinoff of like Avengers endgame or something like that.

  • And I think it's basically like the most exciting title that banking regulations have ever been given.

  • That's CFT's U.S. banking editor, Joshua Franklin.

  • But unlike the Avengers, who the good guys are and who the bad guys are depends on who you ask.

  • On one side, You have the U.S.

  • Federal Reserve.

  • They introduced this endgame proposal about a year ago.

  • So it's essentially saying that banks have to hold more capital and capital is there to absorb potential losses in a financial crisis and means that banks would be in a better position to weather any stress that might come their way.
