  • It caused 140,000 people to evacuate their homes.

  • Although it didn't directly kill anyone,

  • it caused a huge panic and it changed the mentality about nuclear power in the US.

  • The Three Mile Island site in Pennsylvania quickly turns into a black mark on the industry.
