The US Senate passed it after a marathon session of 26 hours,
debating almost a thousand pages of legislation,
but only just with the casting vote of the Vice President, JD Vance.
On this vote, the yeas are 50.
The nays are 50.
The Senate being evenly divided.
The vice president votes in the affirmative.
The bill as amended is passed.
