  • Hey everybody,

  • this is Connor and you're listening to episode 213 of the Listening Time Podcast.

  • I hope you're doing well and that you're having fun with your English learning.

  • I hope that these episodes are fun and interesting for you and that they're good practice for your listening comprehension.

  • And in today's episode, I want to talk about spending less money.

  • In other words, being frugal.

  • Frugal is an adjective which means that you try not to waste money or resources when not necessary.

  • You try to use your money and resources wisely so as to not waste money or resources unnecessarily.

  • So I want to talk about being frugal and the reason why I want to talk about this is

  • because I think that I go through seasons where I need to be a little more frugal or it's beneficial for me to be a little more frugal

  • because maybe I've had to spend more money than normal because I had to buy something big,

  • make some big purchase or recently I just moved to a new house and there were a lot of expenses involved in that and so It's smart to try to be a little frugal at this point during this season to help make up for all the money that I had to spend on the move.

  • So I've been thinking about this and I thought it would be good to talk about some different ways that I am going to try to be frugal.

  • for this season and these might be helpful tips for you

  • if you need to maybe be a little bit more careful about not wasting money unnecessarily.
