The House of Representatives has approved a White House request to claw back two years of previously approved funding for public media.
The rescissions package now moves on to the Senate.

the Senate will open the process to add amendments to the multi-trillion dollar tax cut and spending bill.
It's backed by President Trump.
Senate support for the bill is seen as very narrow.
Republicans can only afford to lose three Senate votes for the measure to pass.
One of those no votes is North Carolina Republican Tom Tillis.
He says supporting the Senate version of the tax cut and spending bill will drastically harm Americans for years to come.
telling the president that you have been misinformed.
You supporting the Senate mark will hurt people who are eligible and qualified for Medicaid.
Trump lambasted Tillis online,
saying he would find someone to run against the North Carolina Republican.
But Tillis also announced yesterday he is going to retire at the end of his term.
