Hello and welcome to the English Like a Native podcast.
My name is Anna and you're listening to week 25,
day 5 of Your English Five a Day, the second season.
This is the series with a mission to help you to feel more comfortable and more confident when communicating in English.
I do this by helping you to have resources that you can build a habit with.
So these episodes run for between 10 to 20 minutes,
perfect for your morning commute or for when you're doing a general daily task.
So all you have to do is tune in and listen and I will provide a range of vocabulary,
something different every day just to keep your brain firing and growing so that over time it can make those connections and you can start fully and freely speaking English.
Of course, this alone is not going to transform your language,
but it certainly helps as an addition to other tools.
Today is Friday,
which means we're going to look at all the vocabulary that we've covered this week and bring it together in one big story.
So I hope that you enjoy today's dog walking worries story based on my own experience.
Here we go.
Many years ago, I went through a major chapter change in my life.
A significant part of my world had come to an end.
I'd been working at sea for years, living out of a suitcase, constantly on the move.
But eventually, I hit a point where I knew things had to change.
Life at sea had started to feel like a dead end.
