but myself and the rest of the dancers will have already taken our final bows for the season.

I get the sense that this is something she likes doing and her kids are also kind of following in her footsteps.
Or maybe she's an instructor.
But I've been in those other situations where the kid wants to do something and I'm not good at it and I have to do it and that's never any fun.
