The House of Representatives has approved a White House request to claw back two years of previously approved funding for public media.
The rescissions package now moves on to the Senate.

Both Israel and Iran agreed to a ceasefire overnight,
but after making the announcements to stop hostilities,
Israel says Iran launched missiles at northern Israel.
Iran denies the claim.
NPR's Hadil Al-Shelchi reports Israel's defense minister and the Israeli military chief of staff say Israel will respond.
Just hours after Israel and Iran announced that they had accepted a truce,
Israel accused Iran of breaking the ceasefire, saying it had identified missiles launched from Iran.
The Israeli defense minister said that he has instructed the Israeli military to,
quote, respond forcefully.
Iran's state TV reported that Iran denied the attack.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with his cabinet Monday night to discuss the achievements of Israel's campaign in Iran.
In a statement,
Israel claimed that it had eliminated the threat of Iran's nuclear and ballistic missiles program.
In a post on social media, President Trump said the two sides had agreed to a ceasefire and said,
