The House of Representatives has approved a White House request to claw back two years of previously approved funding for public media.
The rescissions package now moves on to the Senate.
This move poses a serious threat to local stations and public media as we know it.
Please take a stand for public media today at GoACPR.org.
Thank you.
Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Corva Coleman.
President Trump has denounced Israel and Iran for what appears to be violations of a ceasefire that was announced earlier today.
Using an epithet,
Trump says both countries have been fighting so long they don't know what they're doing.
I think they both violated it.
I'm not sure they did it intentionally.
They couldn't rein people back.
I don't like the fact that Israel went out this morning at all,
and I'm going to see if I can stop it.
Now Trump is writing online saying Israel won't attack Iran.
He did not say how he knew this.
He wrote that all planes will turn around and head home.
Trump also said Iran won't rebuild its nuclear facilities.
Earlier, Israel said that Iran broke the ceasefire today by firing into northern Israel.
Iran denies it, but Israel says it will respond.
