Hello.
I hope you don't feel that today's episode is a little bit Groundhog Day,
because actually we're going to do a very similar thing to what we did on Tuesday,
which is get the latest on the conflict between Israel and Iran,
try and delve a bit more into what's going on in Iran,
and also look at the war of words between the regime in Tehran and Donald Trump.
in the White House.
But there have been some developments and there's still things we can learn about what could happen as a result of all these statements.
So that is what you'll hear on Wednesday's episode of Newscast.
Hello, it's Adam in the Newscast studio.
And later on in this episode, I'm going to be joined by Steve Rosenberg, who is our Russia editor,
for his take on the Israel-Iran conflict,
because it's a really good angle to look at this whole situation from.
But in terms of the situation as we're recording this episode of Newscast on Wednesday tea time.
We've had a statement on Wednesday morning from Ayatollah Khamenei,
the Supreme Leader of Iran, which was quite fiery,
but kind of matching the fieriness of Donald Trump's social media posts that we were reading out in real time in the last episode of Newscast.
And we've had some comments from Donald Trump as well,
although much more moderate on Wednesday than he was on Tuesday.
