Israeli defense units in operation as Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones towards Israeli cities in response to Israel's unprecedented strikes that began early on Friday.
Israeli media say dozens of people were treated in hospital for conditions ranging from shrapnel wounds to shock.
It's not yet clear how much of the damage was caused by direct strikes or from falling debris after interceptions by Israeli air defenses.
There are also attacks on Jerusalem and sirens blared in cities across the country.
Israel says Iran has crossed a red line by targeting civilian areas.
