1 小时 28 分钟Welcome to the LSE events podcast by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Get ready to hear from some of the most influential international figures in the social sciences.
Oh my gosh, welcome.
I feel like I'm at a Taylor Swift concert or something.
To those joining us online, we are never late starting at LSE,
but it's been so hard to get everyone in.
Every seat is full.
So welcome, a big, big welcome to the London School of Economics,
to people who managed to make it here in person and get one of those valued seats,
and to people joining us virtually.
My name is Elizabeth Robinson.
I'm going to be chairing the event today.
I'm a professor in the Department of Environment.
Department of Geography and Environment.
I'm the acting dean of our Global School of Sustainability,
and I'm beyond delighted to welcome you to this LSE public lecture.
This is the first of a series of events that are hosted by our new Global School of Sustainability.
I think we're five months old now, so we're still quite young.
And I suppose we can think of this as the first of our Global School's intellectual inauguration.
What a way to start.
