We start in Los Angeles,
where the National Guard has been deployed on the orders of President Trump as protests over raids on undocumented migrants continued for a third day.
The president's decision bypassed the Democratic governor of California, Gavin Newsom,
who called the move purposefully inflammatory and accused Mr. Trump of trying to manufacture a crisis.
The protests, largely involving members of the city's Hispanic community,
have been largely peaceful,
although there have been instances of people throwing rocks and clashing violently with local police.
