Hello and welcome to News Hour from the BBC World Service.
We're coming to you live from our studio in London.
I'm Lise Doucette.
We start...
In Gaza there has been more violence today near the new aid distribution center run by a controversial new agency the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation or GFF which is backed by Israel and the United States.
Reports from Gaza say from the civil defense agency say six Palestinians were killed and several wounded by Israeli gunfire.
The Israeli ministry says it did fire warning shots at suspects it said who approached them in a threatening manner.
Over the past week dozens of people have been killed
while trying to reach these new aid hubs.
The organisation running the facilities which has faced international criticism says it's paused operations to deal with overcrowding and to improve safety.
And there's also been more violence across Gaza today.
Let's go to Jerusalem to join our correspondent Barbara Plett Usher.
Barbara,
are there more details about what happened today
because it seems that there is violence almost every time there is a distribution of aid by GFF?
That's a fair question, Lise.
It's a particular aid distribution site where the violence has taken place,
or most of the violence has taken place, and this is in southern Gaza.
where Palestinians, they gather at a roundabout,
which is in order to wait until the aid site opens.
