When the news moves this fast, Monday seems like months ago.
That's when we talked about the Munich Security Conference and how American officials,
including Vice President JD Vance,
seemed prepared to tug at the foundation stones of the post-war order.
Because as President Trump has made abundantly clear,
he believes that our European friends must play a bigger role in the future of this continent.
European leaders might have hoped for a quiet week after all that.
