Chris,
tell me how you ended up in Scotland for longer than you expected to be when you were covering the Prime Minister's defence announcement.
Well, so we'd covered the announcement and we hatched a plan,
because it's kind of small, our romantic,
I think, that we would get the Caledonian sleeper.
Because, you know, it leaves not long after the 10 o'clock news.
I'd be back at Westminster at 9 o'clock in the morning.
I mean, that's just tremendous.
I'd be well rested.
I'd be wearing yesterday's shirt,
but you know you can't have everything so we get on the we get on the train and we go for a little drink and and and then uh jack Slater and I jack's a brilliant camerajournalist so we go to our bunks and producer Isabella's got her own compartment down there down there down the corridor and um we get a bed and and I fall asleep and I kind of,
you know, you know when you're sort of half asleep and you're sort of thinking,
and this thought sort of flicked across my mind at some point in the dead of night,
I thought, it just feels a bit smoother than when I was last on this,
but they have improved the rolling stock.
Then, five o'clock in the morning, guys, get up, get up.
We're kicking you off.
We're still in Glasgow.
Oh, you hadn't gone anywhere.
