Hi, welcome back to Eat Your Crust Podcast.
I'm Crystal.
And I'm Jisoo.
So today we have a relationship topic to cover,
and I actually think this concept is quite important,
and I'm feeling its importance grow a little bit more even in recent months.
Today we're going to discuss maintaining independence in a relationship.
Quick context for our listeners, if anyone is new to this podcast,
Crystal and I are both in long-term relationships.
I guess it's more accurate to say that I'm in a marriage now.
So we are in it and committed and I think have a lot of learnings to share in terms of maintaining independence.
And I think maintaining independence is a big thing for me
because I value alone time a lot and I'm definitely more of an introvert.
So I think it comes naturally with the territory.
And sometimes it's easy to get like really consumed in a relationship,
especially in the beginning.
And then I feel like as things develop and normalize and routines form,
you start to realize,
huh, I need to make sure that I have time for myself too.
Honestly, I think this concept is something that I had to actively learn.
