You know,

I would have laughed at you.
Wendy Sherman has done all that and more as one of the most senior American diplomats of the past three decades.
She served under Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
And most recently, she was Deputy Secretary of State in the Biden administration.
She has sat across the table from America's sworn adversaries, looking for common ground.
It's not a career Sherman expected for herself.
