Today, the pronatalists who want to make America pregnant again.
Welcome to the second annual natal conference.
There's about twice as many of you here as there were when we got together in 2023.
At the end of March,
about 100 people from all across the U.S. descended on a convention center in Texas for a very unusual conference.
There's a civilizational catastrophe coming and the way to solve it is to have sex.
Like, that's got to be the easiest pitch in history.
One of the most anticipated keynotes was from a couple called Simone and Malcolm Collins.
Now here I stand before you with a baby on my back powering through the first trimester.
Half of me wants to vomit, the other half wants to lie down on the stage.
Pregnant with what will be her fifth child,
Simone took to the stage looking like an extra from The Handmaid's Tale,
wearing her trademark black apron, thick black glasses and a bonnet covering her hair.
What do you think's going on here?
Well, clearly we are seeing a very big decline in providential children.
For 20 minutes,
she and Malcolm held forth on what they see as an existential problem facing the West.
The birth rate is plummeting, they said.
And the way to solve it is by encouraging women to have as many babies as possible.
