Discussion keeps the world turning.
This is Roundtable.
Primarification.
Primarification.
I practiced that word all morning.
What is it?
It's where primary school content is introduced prematurely,
raising concerns for children's natural development.
Today,
we're going to discuss that and also a groundbreaking law of preschool education and what that all means.
We are live from Beijing.
This is Roundtable.
My name is Steve.
And for today's show, I'm with Niu Honglin and Yushan.
First on the program.
China is introducing a new preschool education law and it's coming soon.
It takes effect on the 1st of June, which coincides, by the way, with International Children's Day.
The new law looks to address more than one issue.
There are some different things to talk about here.
The country is moving towards the goal of free preschool education.
