Russian President Vladimir Putin says Moscow is ready to work on a memorandum with Ukraine when that could include a potential ceasefire.
Speaking after a phone call with U.S.
President Donald Trump on Monday,
Putin emphasized Russia supports a peaceful resolution to the conflict and remains focused on addressing what he called the root causes of the crisis.
The two leaders also discussed recent Russia-Ukraine talks held in Istanbul.
Meanwhile, President Trump spoke separately with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky,
who said Kyiv is open to a possible high-level meeting involving Russia,
the United States and key European nations.
