I'm Greer Jackson, host of the Climate Question podcast,
and this week we're looking at the new Pope's climate credentials.
The late Pope Francis was credited with being the first Catholic leader to make climate action a core part of the Church's work.
But will his American successor, Pope Leo, continue to fight global warming?
And if so, how influential might he be at home and abroad?

Hello,
it's great to be back in the Newscast studio and thank you very much to James and everyone else who kept the studio nice and warm
while I was away.
Now,
very smart people who work in the city in like hedge funds and law firms and things talk about surprises that are on the upside and surprises that are on the downside.
In other words,
things that go better than you might expect and things that go worse than you might expect.
And today we've got examples of each
because the news about the UK economy has surprised on the upside.
But the news about talks between Russia and Ukraine about the conflict in Ukraine have surprised on the downside.
So if you now want to impress people with your knowledge of international affairs and the UK economy,
say there's been a surprise on the upside in one and a surprise on the downside on the other.
And we will explain what's going on on those ups and downs on this episode.
