Hey friends, it's Rosie here.
Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Thursday.
In the days following the fires, I kept hearing phrases like, we'll come back stronger than ever.
And I get it.
Hope is powerful.
But what about the people who are still sifting through the ashes trying to make sense of what's left?
The ones who haven't had a moment to process just what happened?
What about the people who don't want to be strong right now?
Because they're exhausted.
Because they're grieving.
Because they're still waking up every morning to the weight of uncertainty.
Resilience isn't just about bouncing back.
Sometimes.
It's about allowing yourself to not have it all figured out yet.
So today, I want to talk about a word that gets thrown around a lot when we talk about loss.
Resilience.
You hear it in speeches, we see it in the headlines, and in well-meaning advice.
You're so strong.
You'll bounce back.
But what if resilience isn't about being strong?
