单集文稿 ...

  • Hey friends, it's Rosie here.

  • Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Thursday.

  • In the days following the fires, I kept hearing phrases like, we'll come back stronger than ever.

  • And I get it.

  • Hope is powerful.

  • But what about the people who are still sifting through the ashes trying to make sense of what's left?

  • The ones who haven't had a moment to process just what happened?

  • What about the people who don't want to be strong right now?

  • Because they're exhausted.

  • Because they're grieving.

  • Because they're still waking up every morning to the weight of uncertainty.

  • Resilience isn't just about bouncing back.

  • Sometimes.

  • It's about allowing yourself to not have it all figured out yet.

  • So today, I want to talk about a word that gets thrown around a lot when we talk about loss.

  • Resilience.

  • You hear it in speeches, we see it in the headlines, and in well-meaning advice.

  • You're so strong.

  • You'll bounce back.

  • But what if resilience isn't about being strong?
