Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on China and Latin American and Caribbean states to further align their development strategies and promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
The Chinese top leader made remarks on Tuesday at a ministerial meeting of a forum between China and the community of Latin American and Caribbean states in Beijing.
President Xi Jinping said China is ready to work with Latin America to safeguard a multilateral trading system and ensure the flow and stability of global supply chains,
adding that bullying or hegemonism only leads to self-isolation.
This year is marking the 10th anniversary of the China CELAC Forum.
China on Tuesday announced the plans to provide Latin American and Caribbean countries with some 66 billion yuan or 9.2 billion US dollars in terms of credit funding.
