  • Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on China and Latin American and Caribbean states to further align their development strategies and promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

  • The Chinese top leader made remarks on Tuesday at a ministerial meeting of a forum between China and the community of Latin American and Caribbean states in Beijing.

  • President Xi Jinping said China is ready to work with Latin America to safeguard a multilateral trading system and ensure the flow and stability of global supply chains,

  • adding that bullying or hegemonism only leads to self-isolation.

  • This year is marking the 10th anniversary of the China CELAC Forum.

  • China on Tuesday announced the plans to provide Latin American and Caribbean countries with some 66 billion yuan or 9.2 billion US dollars in terms of credit funding.
