China and the United States have announced tariff modification measures to ease their trade tensions.
The decision followed a two-day high-level meeting on economic and trade issues in Geneva.
A joint statement is emphasizing the need for a sustainable,
long-term and mutually beneficial economic and trade relationship.
The discussion was led by Chinese Vice Premier He Lingfeng and U.S.
Treasury Secretary Scott Benson.
The Chinese vice premier has also met with World Trade Organization Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in the city of Geneva as well,
