Hello, I'm LaQuesta Burak.
Welcome to the documentary from the BBC World Service.
In BBC OS Conversations, we bring people together from around the globe to share their experiences.
This time, we're hearing from people inside Gaza.
After 19 months of war, Israel says it's preparing to expand its military campaign in Gaza.
The aim is to defeat and dismantle Hamas, regarded as a terrorist organisation by many countries,
and bring home the remaining 59 hostages, up to 24 of whom are believed to be alive.
They've been held in captivity since Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on October 7,
2023, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
On OS Conversations, we've heard from voices on both sides during this war.
Today, we hear from people living in Gaza.
They tell us about the struggle for food
since Israel cut off humanitarian aid at the beginning of March after the collapse of a two-month ceasefire.
