单集简介 ...

Amy Fu and John Kuo are old friends of the show.  In this episode we do a lot of drinking and explore Amy’s transformative experience living a minimalist life in a van and how it reshaped her values and outlook.  Amy shares her experiences of breaking away from societal norms, quitting her job, and being disowned by her tiger parents.  The discussion covers the challenges and rewards of living on the road, cultural pressures of urban living, and connecting with nature.  Through shared anecdotes and philosophical reflections, this episode explores the intrinsic human need for simplicity, community, and self-reflection. ____________________ 下载节目文字版: Episode Transcripts ____________________ If you enjoy this show don't forget to leave a rating and subscribe! 小红书: THD The Honest Drink Follow Us On IG: @thehonestdrink_ Join Us On WeChat: THD_Official Email: thehonestdrink@gmail.com Find us on: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, 小宇宙, 喜马拉雅, 网易云音乐, 小红书, Bilibili or anywhere you get your podcasts.

单集文稿 ...

  • So let me give you the short version.

  • So when we first started this a few years ago, I won't go into the reasons.

  • But we were really nervous because we didn't know what we should be talking about.

  • We just had no formula, et cetera, right?

  • And we realized that the three of us can kind of talk about anything.

  • And so, I mean, it took probably like 100 episodes to get to that point.

  • And it's amazing that when you think back again, it's like, God, you really stuck through it.

  • Then we got guests on and then guests would introduce other guests or whatever and slowly became more and more comfortable.

  • And then one thing that happened was that we just have friends that might be in town.

  • like yourself.

  • And so I know like if you go on into someone else's space,

  • especially if you're introverted and you're meeting new people and you're out of your comfort zone,

  • it feels that way.

  • But then we just had friends come on and then we usually just put them at ease.

  • And then, you know, within like 10 minutes, they don't even know they're on a show.

  • Yeah.

  • That's good.

  • Cheers.

  • Cheers.

  • That's the short version.
