Chinese President Xi Jinping is paying a state visit to Russia this week and attending celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
His trip will last from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Chinese foreign ministry says the leaders of the two countries will discuss bilateral relations and hold strategic talks on international and regional issues.
The ministry says the two presidents agree that Beijing and Moscow should safeguard the post-World War II order,
defend international fairness and justice,
and unite the global south to lead global governance in the right direction.
