Hello and welcome to the English Like a Native podcast.
My name is Anna and you're listening to week 18,
day one of Your English Five a Day, the second season.
It is my mission to help you to daily dip into the English language.
That's my new catchphrase, your daily dip.
So I want you to really build a strong habit of dipping into the English language on a regular basis.
And with this five-a-day series, daily dipping becomes possible and easy and accessible.
Now, if you want to dip even deeper, then you can by becoming a plus member.
testing your comprehension skills,
doing a little writing of your own so you can really start to own the vocabulary that you are learning and get feedback on your work.
All available to you in the PLUS membership,
a super affordable membership that you're going to love.
I'll leave the link for PLUS membership in the show notes.
All right, let's begin our daily dip.
with today's snapshot, so listen carefully.
After watching a documentary about urban gardening,
Jake wanted to see it first-hand, so he visited a local community garden.
He'd never been interested in plants before, but thought it might be worth a shot.
Soon he took up gardening as a hobby, and now his rooftop is full of herbs and vegetables.
What started as a passing fad for some has really gained traction in his neighbourhood.
