Education is your greatest weapon.
And letters to their daughters.
Dear daughter.
Dear daughter.

I'm Ella Afshamahi and this is The Conversation from the BBC World Service,
the programme that amplifies women's voices,
which is really just a fancy way of saying that we get two incredible women from different countries who share an expertise,
bring them together and see what happens.
Today I'm speaking to two spoken word poets, Wana Odobang from Nigeria and Sophia Frost from Norway.
Wana, Sophia, welcome to The Conversation.
Thank you.
Thank you for having us.
So, Sophia, what exactly is spoken word poetry?
What makes it so different from just your standard on-the-page poetry?
Well, I think it's because it's supposed to be a meeting kind of between the poet and the audience.
It's something that happens in the moment.
I like that.
