But here's the thing.
Solitude and loneliness are not the same.
Solitude, when embraced, can actually be a source of deep peace, creativity, and self-discovery.
The real challenge is learning how to be alone without feeling lonely.
There was a time in my life where being alone felt like the worst thing in the world.
I filled up every second of my schedule, work, friends,
social events, just so I didn't have to sit with myself.
And I convinced myself that that was just my personality.
But the truth?
I was terrified of slowing down and being still.
Emotion can't hit a moving target.
I thought if I kept moving, kept doing,
I wouldn't have to face whatever was waiting for me in the quiet.
