Hello and welcome to the English Like a Native podcast.
My name is Anna and you're listening to week 17, day 3 of your English 5 a day.
The second season.
This is the series that is dedicated to helping you build a habit of dipping into English every day of the working week.
With bonus episodes at the weekend, in case five isn't enough for you.
OK, let's begin today's episode, as we always do, with a snapshot.
The inexperienced hiker spent hours walking under the scorching sun without a hat,
and by the afternoon, an angry sunburn covered his face and neck.
He paused for a moment and noticed a strange rash spreading across his arms.
He began to feel dizzy and fainted, collapsing beside his rucksack.
Watching him pass out,
his friend immediately called for help as the unconscious man showed no signs of waking up.
So, as it's Wednesday,
we will be revisiting some of the vocabulary I introduced to you a couple of years ago now.
So let's see how much you have remembered if you've been listening to the podcast for long.
The first on our list is to faint.
So this is a verb, to faint.
If you faint, then you suddenly become unconscious and perhaps you fall at the same time.
So this isn't like when you go to sleep,
when you lie down in a comfy bed with a pillow and a blanket and try.
